From the very first step onto the ridge at the Aiguille du Midi, you’re immersed in an unforgettable adventure. With the highest peaks of the Alps all around you, the Vallée Blanche offers a 15 km descent and 2,000 vertical meters through the heart of the Mont Blanc glaciers — a legendary off-piste experience that starts with a short ridge walk secured by fixed ropes, and finishes with a return by the Montenvers train or, with exceptional snow, skiing all the way down to Chamonix.
A legendary run — but not a piste
The Vallée Blanche is pure high-mountain off-piste. It is not a groomed slope, and enjoying it safely requires both skill and fitness.
• Altitude & ridge: The start at 3,842 m can challenge those sensitive to altitude. The 15-minute walk down the ridge, skis on your pack and crampons on your boots, already demands energy.
• Moguls: Heavy skier traffic shapes the snow into bumps, making parts of the descent as demanding as a steep, narrow black run.
• Powder: After a snowfall, expect deep, untracked powder — several dozen centimeters that can surprise even strong piste skiers.

Are you ready for the Vallée Blanche?
The Vallée Blanche is not comparable to a resort run. Think of it as a full backcountry adventure: unmarked, on glaciers, and at high altitude. A preparatory off-piste day is strongly recommended if you’re unsure about your skills. To fully enjoy this descent, you should be able to:
• ski a steep, mogulled black run in Europe — equivalent to a sustained “double black diamond” in North America — while staying in control for several hours,
• manage the physical effort of a high-altitude outing.

Meeting point for private booking
Between 8:00 and 9:30 am at the Aiguille du Midi cable car. Exact time confirmed by your guide the day before

Chosen according to your level and conditions; lunch stop at the Requin hut possible on request. To ski a second run or extend your exploration of the valley resorts, book through our Chamonix, Your Way offer and specify your preferences

Je souhaitais vous faire part de mon retour concernant l’expérience que j’ai eue récemment avec votre guide lors de notre sortie à la Vallée Blanche. Sur le plan technique, tout s’est déroulé de manière tout à fait excellente, et je tiens à souligner le haut niveau de compétence de votre guide sur le terrain.
